Once upon a time, in a small village nestled between the hills and the forest, there lived a group of children who were very poor. They didn’t have much in the way of material things—no toys, no new clothes, and sometimes not enough food to fill their hungry stomachs. But they had something very special—each other.
In this village, there was a little girl named Lina. Lina was 8 years old, with bright eyes that sparkled like the stars and a heart as big as the sun. She had a big smile that could light up the darkest room, and even though she didn’t have much, she always shared what little she had with others. Her best friend was a boy named Amir, who was 9 years old. He had ragged clothes, but his spirit was strong. His laughter was infectious, and his dream was to one day see the world and share kindness with everyone.
The village where they lived was very quiet, with simple houses made of wood and stone. The children would play outside, running through the fields, making games out of sticks and stones. Their laughter would echo through the village, and though they had nothing, their hearts were full of happiness. But there was one thing they all longed for—a birthday celebration.
In this village, birthdays were a rare thing. No one could afford to celebrate in grand ways with cakes and presents. But Lina, with her big heart, always wished for one special thing: to celebrate her birthday with all her friends, to make them feel as important and loved as they truly were.
As the day of her birthday approached, she talked to Amir about her wish. “I wish I could have a big birthday party, where all of us could be happy together,” she said softly, her eyes sparkling with hope.
Amir smiled and nodded. “We may not have money, but we have love and happiness. Let’s make this day special, no matter what!” he said, giving Lina a big hug.
The children didn’t have enough money to buy a cake or decorations, but they didn’t give up. They spent the days before Lina’s birthday picking wildflowers from the fields and gathering colorful leaves. They made beautiful garlands out of the flowers and decorated a small tree near the village center. They drew pictures for Lina, and even the oldest children chipped in by telling stories and singing songs.
Finally, the big day came. Though it wasn’t a grand celebration with balloons and fancy gifts, the entire village gathered under the decorated tree. They sat in a circle, holding hands, their faces beaming with joy. Lina felt as if her heart would burst from happiness. She had never felt so loved. She made a wish in her heart that all the children in the world could be as happy as she was in that moment.
Amir stood up and raised his voice. “Today, we are all together, and that is the greatest gift of all. Let us wish for everyone to feel loved, no matter where they are. Let us wish for kindness to spread everywhere, and for happiness to fill every corner of the world.”
All the children joined in. “Happy birthday, Lina!” they cheered. And together, they all wished for something more than just presents. They wished for a world where love and kindness were the most important things, a world where no child would ever feel alone or unloved.
As the day went on, the children played, sang songs, and shared stories, their laughter filling the air. They didn’t need much to be happy. They had each other, and that was everything.
Lina’s birthday was the happiest day of her life, and in that moment, she realized that sometimes, the best gifts come not from what you can buy, but from the love and kindness you give and receive. The children all promised to remember that special day and to carry that love with them wherever they went.
And so, the children of that small village, though they were poor, had a birthday celebration they would never forget. It wasn’t just a celebration of one girl’s life, but a celebration of love, hope, and the power of kindness.
So, to all the children around the world, no matter where you are or how much you have, this story is for you. May you always feel the warmth of love in your heart, and may your days be filled with laughter and joy. Happy birthday to all the children, today and every day!
