Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder (boneless or bone-in)
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 6 brioche buns
  • 1 cup coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Pork
    • Combine smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder. 🖐️
    • Let it rest for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Slow Cook the Pork
    • Place the seasoned pork in a slow cooker. Add chicken broth and half of the BBQ sauce.
    • Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the pork is tender and shreds easily. 🕒
  3. Shred the Pork
    • Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
    • Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining juices and BBQ sauce. Cook for another 15 minutes on low. 🍴
